Judged by the staff of Southern Living magazine, Sunset magazine, and Homestyles.com, the winners were selected over 600 entries covering all types of remodeling projects. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure. The year, Houseworks Construction of Atlanta, Georgia took home the top Design/Build Award for Whole House Remodel Over $500,000. This is the second consecutive year in which they have won a Chrysalis Award. “The purpose of the awards is to identify remodeling companies who are the best at what the do,” says Ken Kanline, Director of the awards, “ and their award was in this year’s most competitive category. To have won awards in consecutive years in the earmark of consistently excellent company.” The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1994, recognizes the nation’s best remodeling work in over thirty categories.

Houseworks Construction Wins Chrysalis Award

Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 104 remodeling companies from across the United States were honored at the eighth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence on June 1.
